Blessed

Blessed...

I was commenting to my wife that i needed to jump start my acting/Improv career after a nine month sabbatical.

One day after that, an acquaintance, Dante, contacted me. He said he had a part for me in his production. Albeit, it is a small part, it is perfect for me right now. Filming starts in January.

I also started mining the various FB groups I belong too. I saw a post for a character with open age (even in the 50’s - no comments please). I needed to submit an audition by week’s end. This was Tuesday. My week was full with little time to memorize a monologue and record it. (I really need to record a good to leverage quickly.)

I happen to find a monologue from last year. It was not my best work. A cold read. I submitted it with that caveat. Not the best way to introduce one’s self.

It surprised me that i was offered the part of the Judge! Filming starts in a week. Another small part. Again perfect.

Butterflies are in full motion. Feed by perfectionism and fear. Always striving for excellence. Time for a chill-pill as my kids would say.

And ... very excited. I love performing and meeting new people.

Also, always take that shot. That risk. Just need to train the Butterflies to fly in formation.

Best is coming...
